Individual trees and area 1 acre / 0.4 hectare or less:

• Place 1 or 2 Verbenone pouch on each tree depending on risk of attack and size of tree.
• For large trees over 24 inches / 61 cm diameter, add 1 more Verbenone pouch for each additional 12 inches / 30.5 cm in diameter, 3 feet / 1 meter above the previous Verbenone.

Perimeter Protection:

• On contour of perimeter, place 1 Verbenone pouch every 15 feet / 4.6 meter along length of perimeter. Move in 30 feet / 9.1 meter and repeat with a second line.

Forested stands over 1 acres / 0.4 hectare:

• Minimum dose 25 Verbenone pouch /acre or 50 per hectare. At low beetle pressure, place 1 Verbenone pouch /tree in a grid pattern. Maximum dose, 75 Verbenone pouch /acre or 148 per hectare.
• At high beetle pressure place 1-2 Verbenone pouch /tree in a grid pattern.
